17 And in that day I will become angry(A) with them and forsake(B) them; I will hide(C) my face(D) from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters(E) and calamities will come on them, and in that day they will ask, ‘Have not these disasters come on us because our God is not with us?’(F)

    and lets it linger in his mouth,(C)
14 yet his food will turn sour in his stomach;(D)
    it will become the venom of serpents(E) within him.
15 He will spit out the riches(F) he swallowed;
    God will make his stomach vomit(G) them up.
16 He will suck the poison(H) of serpents;
    the fangs of an adder will kill him.(I)
17 He will not enjoy the streams,
    the rivers(J) flowing with honey(K) and cream.(L)
18 What he toiled for he must give back uneaten;(M)
    he will not enjoy the profit from his trading.(N)
